“Ready to Wear”… Based on what I’ve learned about you, I’ll offer ceremonies from which you choose the one that suits you as is. You will have many appropriate choices that can be “tweaked” to make it fit right. This may be useful if very close to ceremony date, or if you are on a tight budget.

“Homemade Personalized Composite”…With this most popular option, you can create and personalize a ceremony in your own space and time. Based on what I’ve learned about you from our discussion, I’ll send you reference material and guidance with which you can cut and paste to create your own ceremony draft. The readings, blessings, and rituals, I suggest result from my getting to know you and your preferences, and my experience. I have various styles of expression for candles, wine, flowers, gifts…designed to reflect your unique relationship and families.

The process of creating your draft can become a special time to read and take in the meaning of the words and can perhaps initiate a discussion about philosophies and preferences on love, relationship, and family. My clients often report that this process was time well invested as a learning experience and also in the satisfaction received from active participation.

After I finish working on your draft, I’ll enter into my process of editing and enhancing. When I finish, we’ll schedule a phone conference to review the ceremony and collaborate towards mutual satisfaction; we then move on to a “rehearsal” of what to expect before, during and after the ceremony. My aim is to unveil the unknowns and offer suggestions that will help us feel comfortable knowing more of what we might expect.

“Customized Homemade Composite” (Self-Created draft, New Words, Ideas, or Rituals)…I welcome hearing new ideas and personal expressions as possibilities for inclusion in the ceremony. I’ll give feedback about how it might (or might not) work, and make suggestions for enhancing it. If appropriate to the ceremony and comfortable with me to officiate, I often take on the sometimes challenging labor of working in the new. Using my ability to transform concepts I’ll capture the essence of your thought and weave words and/or ritual to express it, keeping in mind the big picture while working with the details of flow, logistics, etc.

With a “Homemade” or “Customized Composite” your finished ceremony will be an artistic blend of your input and mine. We’ll confer to review and collaborate. I’ll then make my final edits and mail you a copy as a keepsake, and so you can get familiar with it and hopefully, live out its essence!

Whichever option you choose, your ceremony will honor and bless as it expresses your love.
